Leadership coaching is more important than ever. We are currently facing unprecedented levels of stress. According to the APA, 80% of Americans have reported increased pressure since COVID-19, and 70% report increased stress related to the election. American’s also report significant concerns related to racial and social justice. The CDC indicates that Americans are experiencing two to three times the mental health symptoms reported before March of 2020. There are inadequate mental health systems for support in the US, and these problems carry over into our homes and workplaces.

During a global pandemic, organizational leaders at all levels are facing increased pressure at home and in the workplace. Staff and employees need guidance to reduce uncertainty in returning to work.

We help leaders explore ways of being more effective during significant change, managing a lack of control, and times of instability while promoting resilience throughout teams. Leaders that work with us report success in addressing physical safety at work. For example, we can observe tangible items like cleaning, HVAC, and security. However, there is a struggle to promote workplace wellness and psychological safety.  Social justice advocacy and COVID-highlighted differing values and ways of being, at home and work.  Human beings often lack words to describe the unseen when they don’t “feel” safe. Influential leaders are aware of the continuum of safety needs and guide a path for the entire team. We will explore workplace factors that support psychological safety and support personal responsibility with improved feelings of control.

Leaders that engage in coaching relationships create a safe place to explore cultural differences in perception and experience.  Stress impacts our mental as well as physical health, affecting not only our work but also our parenting and relationships.
